Share Your Stories For National Public Service Week

OTTAWA – To coincide with National Public Service Week 2007, we would like to honour members of our FI community by sharing your stories to educate Canadians on your contributions to the Federal government and, by extension, to society.

National Public Service Week is taking place from June 10 to 16. To match its theme, “Keeping the circle strong: Connecting our generations,” we are looking for testimonials from members explaining what you do and how this provides value to the Canadian public.

We invite you to submit testimonials of about 1-3 paragraphs in length. Don’t worry if you’re not a writer – ACFO’s communications staff will help. The importance is to share your stories and help Canadians understand what you do and how this impacts them.

Your texts will be collected and displayed on the ACFO website, along with a banner promoting our financial officers within the public service.

This is an excellent opportunity to bridge the gap of understanding between the public sector and the general public. It’s time to show the world what financial officers stand for! And there is nobody better to tell them but yourselves.
