A number of Financial Officers have contacted us to say they did not receive their CFO Transitional Allowance for the period covering November 1 to November 6, 2008.
It appears some departments have a different interpretation of the Collective Agreement with regards to the Transitional Allowance and, as such, did not think it was to be paid out.
We have discussed this matter with officials at Treasury Board and they have confirmed that eligible FIs should indeed have received the allowance for that period. Treasury Board has since followed up with departments to clarify the issue.
