New award to recognize excellence in public service comptrollership

CMA Canada and the CIPFA have joined forces to create a new annual award recognizing excellence in public service comptrollership.

The award will honour a federal public servant or team making a significant contribution to financial management and/or comptrollership within the Government of Canada. The award recipient or recipients will receive a plaque and a $1,000 donation in their name to a registered charity or scholarship fund.

ACFO supports professional development and recognition and, as such, would like to encourage all members of the FI Community to consider nominating a colleague or themselves. We know the FI Community adds more than numbers; we add value. This is an opportunity for such contributions to be recognized. The deadline for nominations is March 16, 2009.
