PRELIMINARY NOTICE: 2012 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Preliminary notice of ACFO’s Twenty-Third Annual General Meeting (AGM) is hereby given in accordance with Article 9.13.1 of By-law Number 1.

The AGM will take place:
Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 6:00pm
Ottawa Convention Centre
Room 205
55 Colonel By Drive
Ottawa, ON K1N 9J2

To Submit Resolutions, By-law Amendments or Other Business
All regular members are invited to submit resolutions, amendments to the By-laws, or submissions of any other business for consideration by the membership at the AGM.  Proposed resolutions and amendments must be submitted by email to the National Office at information@acfo-acaf.com on or before October 10, 2012, fifty (50) days prior to the AGM as per Article 17.2.1 a) of By-law Number 1.

To Review the AGM Package
Copies of the Annual Report, Budget, Resolutions for consideration, and Voting Procedures will be made available to members electronically by November 8, 2012, twenty (20) days prior to the AGM as per Article per Article 17.2.1 b) of By-law Number 1.

Elections
At the 2012 AGM, elections will be held for one (1) Board Chair/President.

As per Article 6.3.2 of By-law Number 1,

To be eligible for election as Chair, a Regular Member must be a current member of the Board and must have held a position on the Board for one full term as was defined at the time of his/her election to fill that term.

Nominations for the Board Chair/President must be submitted by email to the National Office at information@acfo-acaf.com on or before October 10, 2012, fifty (50) days prior to the AGM as per Article 17.2.1 a) of By-law Number 1.

To Attend the AGM
The date and location of the 2012 AGM has been established to coincide with FMI PD Week.  If you are planning to attend the AGM in Ottawa, you must confirm your attendance with Membership Services Administrator Mr. Ridha Oueslati by e-mail at roueslati@acfo-acaf.com or by calling the National Office toll free at 1-877-728-0695 ext. 243 or local (613) 728-0695.
