Collective Bargaining Update

May 5, 2012

The ACFO and Treasury Board bargaining teams met in Ottawa on May 1st to 3rd

We were able to make some progress in our negotiations this week and were able to sign off on twelve proposals.  Some of these proposals provided clarity and others provided for substantive improvements to the contract the details of which will be shared once the parties are able to complete negotiations.

In addition, several proposals were withdrawn by both sides.

Of the remaining proposals we are conducting further research or awaiting information from the employer before they can either be accepted, countered or withdrawn.

The next bargaining session is scheduled for June 4-6, 2012.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please email ACFO Lead Negotiator Scott Chamberlain at schamberlain@acfo-acaf.com or ACFO Executive Vice President and Chair of the Collective Bargaining Committee Karen Hall at khall@acfo-acaf.com.
