PSLREB rules CPA insurance payable by employer

The Public Service Labour Relations and Employment Board recently ruled that the insurance fees payable to CPA Canada by accountants at Canada Revenue Agency should be included in the definition of annual membership fees paid by the employer.

It is ACFO’s interpretation of this ruling that our members with designations are also entitled to claim their insurance fees. We invite these members to submit a request for reimbursement to your supervisor or manager.

Note that this ruling specifically pertains to the portion of insurance directly related to work performed in the role of a public servant, which typically amounts to approximately $50.
