No automatic cash out of leave
Treasury Board has confirmed that, once again, public service members won’t have their vacation, compensatory, lieu days, lieu hours or lay day leave cashed out automatically on March 31 this year. ACFO has been advocating for the FI Community on this issue.
Employees who want their leave cashed out can still request it, it just won’t take place automatically. This is an attempt to help ease the strain on the Phoenix pay system but it also gives members more flexibility in how their leave banks are used.
