ACFO-ACAF mourns the late Michael Ferguson
The entire ACFO-ACAF team was saddened to learn of the passing of Michael Ferguson, the Auditor General of Canada, on February 2, 2019.
“Mr. Ferguson was a tireless advocate for accountability, transparency and financial stewardship in the public service. I was fortunate enough to meet with and work with him during his tenure as Auditor General and his commitment and professionalism were always an inspiration,” said Dany Richard, ACFO-ACAF President.
“His push for answers in the Phoenix payroll system debacle and his call for more complete and coherent financial reporting, in particular, were causes we shared, and I am so grateful for his leadership.”
