Collective bargaining update

Since our public service membership overwhelmingly voted to ratify the new collective agreement, ACFO-ACAF has been working closely with the employer to ensure that the next stage of the process, signing, moves as smoothly and swiftly as possible.

Currently the signing process is still ongoing. As we mentioned previously, signing typically takes 2-3 months and includes getting ministerial approval for the new agreement as well as finalizing and translating it.

Once the agreement has been signed, the 180–day implementation period is triggered. ACFO-ACAF was the first bargaining agent to ratify an agreement and we still anticipate being the first to have our agreement signed and implemented.
