In June 2019, ACFO-ACAF and other public service bargaining agents signed an agreement with the employer regarding damages associated with the Phoenix payroll system, with the first phase of that agreement implemented late last year.
We have received notice from the employer that they have begun implementing the next phase of the Phoenix damages agreement. This phase ensures that employees covered by the agreement who joined the public service between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020 are compensated.
CT-EAV and CT-FIN employees that were employed for at least one day in 2019-20 will see one day of leave added to their leave bank by August 28, 2020. ACFO-ACAF will be consulting with our CT-IAU members, who are not covered by this agreement, on Phoenix damages once we are in a position to negotiate for you.
