Special Notice: Call for nominations to ACFO-ACAF board

ACFO-ACAF Vice President Nicole Bishop Tempke has accepted a position outside of the represented CT Community and has thus resigned her seat on the Board of Directors. The entire ACFO-ACAF team is grateful for her many contributions in her 18 years of service as a volunteer and director, in particular her leadership on the pay equity file and her work at the collective bargaining table.

Her position will be filled at the next AGM, which will take place on November 26, 2020. This notice therefore serves as a call for nominations. As per Article 6.3.1 of By-law Number 1,

“To be eligible for election as a member of the Board of Directors, the member must be a member in good standing of ACFO for a period of not less than two (2) consecutive years.”

Nominations for the position of Director must be submitted by email to information@acfo-acaf.com  on or before October 26. We particularly welcome and encourage applications from all equity seeking groups.

As per the preliminary notice, nomination papers for all candidates plus copies of the annual report, budget, resolutions for consideration and voting procedures will be made available to members electronically by November 5 (21 days prior to the AGM as per Article per Article 17.2.1 b) of Bylaw Number 1).
