After ongoing discussions with ACFO-ACAF and other bargaining agents, the Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer (OCHRO) has again agreed to suspend the automatic cashout of vacation leave, compensatory leave, lieu days, lieu hours or lay day leave.
Public servants still have the right to request a cash out of their leave at any time, it just will not occur automatically. This decision offers ACFO-ACAF members greater flexibility while acknowledging the impact of COVID-19 on employees’ use of leave and lessening the burden on the Phoenix pay system.
