Preliminary notice of ACFO-ACAF’s 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) is hereby given in accordance with Article 9.13.1 of Bylaw Number 1.  

Due to restrictions on gatherings in place due to COVID-19, this year’s AGM will be an exclusively online event.   

The AGM will take place:  

November 17, 2021, at 4:30 pm ET 

Links to view and participate in the meeting will be provided with registration information in the coming weeks.  

To submit resolutions, bylaw amendments or other business 

All regular members are invited to submit resolutions, amendments to the bylaws or submissions of any other business for consideration by the membership at the AGM.    

Proposed resolutions and amendments must be submitted by email to information@acfo-acaf.com on or before September 28, 2021 (50 days prior to the AGM as per Article 17.2.1 a) of Bylaw Number 1).

ACFO-ACAF’s bylaws are available for review on ACFO-ACAF’s website.  

To review the AGM package  

Copies of the annual report, budget, resolutions for consideration and voting procedures will be made available to members electronically by October 27, 2021 (21 days prior to the AGM as per Article 17.2.1 b) of Bylaw Number 1).   

Elections  

At the 2021 AGM, elections will be held for the following positions on the Board of Directors: 

  • Director at Large (x2) 

As per Article 6.4.4 of By-law Number 1, approved at the 2020 AGM, elections will also be held this year for the following positions on the Board of Directors: 

  • CT-EAV Director (Transition term) 
  • CT-IAU Director (Transition term) 

These positions are limited to members of the CT-EAV (former AU) and CT-IAU (former AS) subgroups and will serve one-year transitional terms. 

As per Article 6.3.1 of By-law Number 1,   

“Each Director … shall have been a Regular Member in good standing with the Association for a period of not less than two (2) consecutive years.”     

Good standing with prior bargaining agents will count towards the two years qualification for CT-EAVs and CT-IAUs. 

Nominations for these positions must be submitted by email to information@acfo-acaf.com on or before October 1, 2021.

Registration for the AGM will be opening shortly. An email will be sent to all members with an agenda and full registration instructions.
