In the 2019 Alternative Federal Budget, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) makes the case for greater investment in federal public servants, better protection for those who disclose wrongdoing and more accountability and transparency for contractors who support the public service’s work.

ACFO was once again invited to contribute to the CCPA’s influential AFB project – an annual reimagining of the federal budget. The chapter on public services makes a convincing case for the value that can be derived from investing in a professional, well-trained public service. ACFO is grateful for the opportunity to be part of this vitally important research.
