Update on pension surplus litigation OTTAWA – As most members are aware, the Association is part of a joint effort being undertaken by a number of public service unions to reclaim surplus funds from the public service pension plan that were grabbed by the federal government in the 1990s. We are pleased to report that the unions will have our next day in court on February 26, when the trial resumes. The tentative schedule for hearings is as follows:
