JCDP Fall Term: Applications now open for free training!

Applications for free training in the fall term of the Joint Career Development Program (JCDP) are now being accepted!
The JCDP, governed in partnership with the employer through the Office of the Comptroller General, provides ACFO-ACAF’s public service members with an incredible opportunity to invest in your professional development at no cost.
We encourage you to speak to your manager and apply for the free training that is supported by senior leadership and tailored to the needs of our community! The training is awarded via lottery and highest priority goes to those who haven’t received training before.
CT Academy: Management Track
Our highly-sought-after CT Academy: Management Track offering is an immersive, multi-modal learning experience for those who have just taken on supervisory responsibilities or those who expect to do so soon. We’ll be offering a standard delivery throughout the fall plus a new intensive delivery, with participants spending a week together in the classroom in August, that will allow regional members to participate for the first time!

Interchange Program
The highly-sought-after Interchange Programs are back for 2025-26! Learn more about the Interchange here.
- The NCR Interchange Program takes a group of CTs who live and work outside of the National Capital Region to Ottawa-Gatineau for a week to help them better understand the realities and challenges of working in a national headquarters or central agency. This fall’s NCR Interchange takes place October 6-10.
- The Regional Interchange Program takes a group of CTs who live and work in the National Capital Region out to a region for a week to help them better understand the realities and challenges of working in a regional office. This fall’s Regional Interchange takes place in Montreal from November 3-7, where programming will take place in French.
Members selected for this program will have all travel and accommodation expenses covered while they participate in the interchange.
How to take part
As usual, participants for these trainings will be chosen via lottery. Consult with your manager then submit your lottery application by the end of day on Sunday, June 29.
