We’re pleased to announce that we’ve welcomed 79 new members from the House of Commons (HoC) to ACFO-ACAF!

The process of adding these new members from the HoC began in January 2025, when a small group of representatives approached us expressing interest in joining ACFO-ACAF.

After meeting with the group, our staff conducted a thorough assessment to determine whether welcoming the HoC group was the right decision for both parties and ultimately concluded that it was. While many factors went into that decision, the most significant was the similarities in the work they perform at the HoC and the work done by CTs in the public service and FIs at NAV Canada.

Our experience representing our current members gives us full confidence that we can support these additional members while continuing to deliver the high-quality services our members expect. Before this addition, ACFO‑ACAF represented more than 7,000 members across over 70 federal departments, as well as approximately 20 members at NAV Canada. Although each of these groups has its own collective agreement, the three groups all being represented by ACFO-ACAF strengthens our collective voice, which benefits the entire membership.

We’re proud of the strong reputation that ACFO‑ACAF has built, and we look forward to continuing to provide best‑in‑class services to all our members for years to come.
