CT Collective Bargaining Update
First committee meetings
ACFO-ACAF’s Collective Bargaining Committee, made up of 68 CT members, recently held two meetings on June 30 and August 6 to begin preparing for the upcoming round of bargaining for the Comptrollership (CT) Collective Agreement.
During those meetings, committee members:
- Heard a presentation from ACFO-ACAF Labour Relations Advisors outlining the collective bargaining process; and
- Discussed the criteria that will determine which proposals submitted through the collective bargaining survey will be used in this round of bargaining.
Notice to bargain
On July 9, 2026, ACFO-ACAF filed a notice to bargain for the CT Group, which automatically triggered a statutory freeze. This means that, while negotiations are taking place, the employer cannot make changes to the terms and conditions of employment covered by the current collective agreement. As a result, your existing rights, benefits, and working conditions remain in place until a new agreement is reached.
Next steps
An in-person meeting is scheduled for September 25–27 in Ottawa, where committee members will develop bargaining proposals and further discuss strategic objectives for this round of bargaining.
