As we head into the final months of 2026, we’re looking forward to bringing you a slate of events planned in the National Capital Region this fall to keep the ACFO-ACAF Community informed on the latest news as well to connect and celebrate your expertise, professionalism, and contributions to the federal public service this year.
From family-friendly hockey outings and town halls to a year-end holiday celebration, we hope you’ll join us at the following events:
- Free family event – Hockey game: Join us at The Ledge at the Canadian Tire Centre to watch the Ottawa Senators (Tuesday, November 10) in action with up to two of your family members! A lottery will be conducted to allocate tickets.
- Union town halls: Enjoy a free lunch and hear updates from ACFO-ACAF President Rob Hawkins, including the latest on collective bargaining, RTO4, and more. To accommodate members on each side of the river, the town halls will take place at the Ottawa Marriott on Thursday, November 5, and near Place du Portage in early December (exact date and location to be confirmed).
- Holiday Social: Ring in the holiday season with ACFO-ACAF, dancing, and good company at the Rogers Centre on Friday, December 4! This year, a limited number of tickets have been reserved for significant others and they can be purchased for $25. Tickets for ACFO-ACAF members will remain free. Please note that to accommodate extra guests, only light hors d’oeuvres will be served rather than a full dinner. Drink tickets will also be provided. Due to high demand, registration will take place in two waves.
Additional details will be shared at the time of each event’s registration launch.
Calendar and registration timelines
Please note below the details and registration timelines for each event. We will send an email when registration is launched for each event, but you are invited to use the links provided to add a reminder to your calendar if you don’t anticipate reading or receiving the email at the time of launch, especially since some departments’ server networks hold ACFO-ACAF emails for a period of time before releasing them.
