We’re pleased to share that the 2025 State of the Community (SOTC) survey is now open, and ready for you to complete.

The SOTC survey is one of ACFO-ACAF’s most valuable tools for listening to the CT Community. It allows us to collect anonymous, honest feedback on the issues that matter most to you. The insights we gain play a vital role in shaping our efforts to better serve and support our members.

This year’s survey includes questions grouped into five key categories:

  1. Demographics;
  2. Workforce Adjustment;
  3. Whistleblowing;
  4. Artificial Intelligence; and
  5. Workplace Culture and Wellness.

Completing the survey takes less than 10 minutes. ACFO-ACAF members received the survey via email on October 7, 2025. If you didn’t receive it, please contact communications@acfo-acaf.com to request the survey link.

The survey will close on Friday, October 31, at 11:59 pm ET.

Purpose

The information we gather through this year’s SOTC survey will help us advocate for the CT Community at the bargaining table, in grievances, with senior management, and in our advocacy work.

Obtaining a high response rate on this survey is critical, as it will allow us to:

  • reinforce our asks at the bargaining table and in grievance cases by sharing data that is specific to our membership;
  • advocate with senior management and departmental CFOs by providing them with data that demonstrates how their department stacks up against others and what actionable changes they can make to improve the lives of their employees; and
  • publish the results to the CT Community so that you can make informed career decisions based on which departments align closest with your workplace values.

Next steps

After the survey closes, we complete the analysis internally then share the aggregate data with our members in the following formats:

  • Complete survey analysis document, question by question
  • Departmental report card, showing departments’ scores in key areas
  • Departmental analysis documents

Departments will be listed in the report card and receive an analysis once a minimum number of responses are received to ensure anonymity and statistical relevance, so make sure that you encourage your colleagues to complete the survey!
