All of us at ACFO were saddened to hear of the passing of Jack Layton. Jack Layton will be remembered as a champion for social justice as well as a man of impeccable integrity.  He was the happy warrior of Canadian politics who never backed down from a fight.  As evidenced in his battle with cancer, he fought every fight with dignity and courage.  He brought new meaning to the term “Statesman” in Canadian politics. A condolence letter has been sent to the friends and family of Jack Layton, offering our deepest sympathies. Jack Layton is a great example of leadership for future generations. He may be gone, but he is not forgotten.  Canadians should strive to live their lives the way Mr. Layton did: seeing the good in everyone and working to be the best we can be.  His final words will live on in all of us.
