On October 23, 2025, ACFO-ACAF held its 36th Annual General Meeting at the Rogers Centre in Ottawa. More than 100 members attended in-person, with many more joining virtually from across Canada.

During the meeting, ACFO-ACAF President Rob Hawkins provided updates and answered questions on key issues, including:

  • The Comprehensive Expenditure Review;
  • Work Force Adjustment;
  • Transition of Fisheries and Oceans Canada/Canadian Coast Guard to National Defence;
  • Collective bargaining; and
  • Return to the office.

An audio recording of the event will be available on the ACFO-ACAF member portal in the coming weeks for anyone who couldn’t attend.

Thank you, Sylvain!

At this year’s AGM, Sylvain Lapierre concluded his time on the ACFO-ACAF Board of Directors.

Since first being elected in 2021, Sylvain has done some tremendous work on behalf of the CT Community through his role on the collective bargaining committee, his leadership as chair of the finance committee, and many other contributions.

On behalf of the ACFO-ACAF Board of Directors, the CT Community, and the entire staff, we wish him great success in all his future endeavors.
