Coming this fall: Free member mixers, family events, and more
After a challenging 2026 for much of the ACFO-ACAF Community, we are pleased to share our upcoming fall calendar of events that will allow you to connect with your fellow members, celebrate the dedication and perseverance of the Community through a difficult period, and get answers from your union.
Fall member events at a glance
Opportunities will include:
- Regional events;
- Fredericton town hall (September 9)
- Victoria town hall (October 21)
- Learn more about organizing your own regional Member Meetup
- A social mixer in Ottawa South on Tuesday, September 15 (more details below);
- Our AGM on Wednesday, October 7, in person and online (registration opens soon);
- Lunchtime in-person town halls in downtown Ottawa in November;
- Family events in the late fall, accommodating members with family obligations who struggle to attend evening mixers; and
- A holiday party in December in the National Capital Region (exact date and location TBD).
All these events are free for members to attend with complimentary food and beverages served. More information on dates, locations, and registration will follow closer to the time of the events.
To ensure the registration launch email makes it to your inbox, check that your my.ACFO-ACAF profile is up to date, particularly your home and work locations, as most emails will be segmented by region. You can update it here.
September 15 mixer in Ottawa
Join ACFO-ACAF staff and President Rob Hawkins for a social mixer on Tuesday, September 15, at KS on the Keys (1029 Dazé St).
This mixer is an opportunity to close out the summer and network with your fellow ACFO-ACAF members. Free appetizers and two complimentary beverage tickets per attendee will be provided.
