Preliminary notice of ACFO-ACAF’s 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) is hereby given in accordance with Article 9.13.1 of By-law Number 1. 

The AGM will take place on October 7, 2026, at 6:00 pm ET at the Rogers Centre (55 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, ON K1N 9J2) in the Trillium Ballroom, located on the 4th floor.  

This is a hybrid event, therefore, if you’re unable to attend in person, you will have the opportunity to participate virtually. Links to participate in the meeting will be provided with registration information in the coming weeks.  

The AGM is being held in the evening following the 2026 CT Symposium. There will be a cocktail hour between these two events from 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm ET where you’ll have the opportunity to network with your colleagues.   

To submit resolutions, bylaw amendments or other business  

All regular members are invited to submit resolutions, amendments to the bylaws, or submissions of any other business for consideration by the membership at the AGM.     

Proposed resolutions and amendments must be submitted by email to cday@acfo-acaf.com on or before Tuesday, August 18, 2026 (50 days prior to the AGM as per Article 17.2.1 a) of Bylaw Number 1).

Copies of the annual report, budget, resolutions for consideration, and voting procedures will be made available to members electronically by Wednesday, September 16, 2026 (21 days prior to the AGM as per Article 17.2.1 b) of Bylaw Number 1).  

Elections  

At the 2026 AGM, elections will be held for the following positions on the Board of Directors:  

• CT-FIN Director (x1), four-year term 
• CT-EAV Director (x1), four-year term 
• CT-IAU Director (x1), four-year term 

As per Article 6.3.1 of By-law Number 1, “Each Director … shall have been a Regular Member in good standing with the Association or a predecessor union for a period of not less than two (2) consecutive years.”      

Nominations for these positions must be submitted by email to cday@acfo-acaf.com on or before Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

• As a pilot, candidates will have the opportunity to record a short video message to accompany their written biography in the AGM package. A representative from ACFO-ACAF will contact candidates after their nomination has been submitted to coordinate the recording.
