OTTAWA – The Association of Canadian Financial Officers is currently exploring the possibility of further investigating classification and compensation inequity issues. If we discover sufficient evidence to suggest that the FI group is female-dominated and not being compensated at the same rate as equivalent male-dominated groups, we might launch a pay equity complaint on behalf of our FI group.

As part of this process, we are looking to put together a Steering Committee made up of Financial Officers from a range of departments who possess a variety of work experience. This committee would oversee the collection of information and work with the Board of Directors to make recommendations on a possible course of action in this matter. Committee members must be available for training sessions, which we would like to begin in April.
