ACFO has received notice that our pay equity complaint has been transferred from the Canadian Human Rights Commission to the Public Service Labour Relations Board (PSLRB). This is in line with procedures set forth in the Public Service Equitable Compensation Act, which passed with the federal budget and received Royal Assent on March 12.
The PSLRB currently only has the authority to evaluate our filing to ensure it is not trivial, frivolous, and vexatious or made in bad faith. Once this process is complete we should be able to update you on the next steps and timelines. More information on the PSLRB’s process can be found on the Board’s website.
