New labour relations service: One-on-one coaching

ACFO-ACAF is pleased to announce that we’ll be expanding our labour relations services on a trial basis by offering free, confidential, and focused one-on-one coaching for members who are looking for tips and advice on how they can address issues as they come up in the workplace. The goal of this service is to shift the primary focus on third-party conflict resolution to directly equipping you with the tools that you need to proactively address and resolve concerns with the other party involved at the earliest stage possible. 

ACFO-ACAF’s experienced labour relations team is always available to assist members with addressing and resolving workplace conflicts. As a professional group, you’ve told us that you want to address issues at the lowest level possible, which is why we focus so much of our work on informal conflict resolution. We realize, though, that there is a gap that we can address that would better serve the CT Community with addressing concerns in the workplace more proactively. With our expertise, we can help you gain the tools needed to work through difficult situations at work and refine your conflict management skills.  

We can also help prepare you for a difficult conversation or provide you with guidance on navigating difficult personalities in the workplace, help coach you in giving someone constructive feedback, or even provide you with proactive coaching on best practices.  

We know that conflicts in the workplace are inevitable—we will all face varying degrees of challenges throughout our careers. Arming yourselves with the knowledge and tools to navigate those difficult moments effectively will not only serve you in the current situation you’re facing but could potentially help you for years to come.
