As the end of the year approaches, we have arrived at another holiday season full of uncertainty and challenge. While no one knows how the next few months may look, I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a safe, healthy holiday season and a happy New Year.
While we have now been physically distanced and working from home for more than a year, it has been a great joy to be able to connect with many ACFO-ACAF members at our online events this year. Having the chance to bring you updates and answer your questions at the Spring Tune Up in June, the CT Symposium in October and the AGM in November were the highlights of my year.
The CT Community has proven itself to be strong and resilient year after year and the past 12 months have been no exception. I am certain that we will weather whatever challenges come our way over the coming months and that you will continue to deliver public services with the grace and integrity of which you have always shown yourselves to be capable.
Despite the unpredictability of the next year, it is with great anticipation that we look forward to the coming year and the joys it is sure to bring. At ACFO-ACAF, we are working hard to provide not only the quality programming and service you expect from us, but some new and exciting offerings as well. We can’t wait to kick off our 2022 events with the Mental Health and Wellness Seminar on January 26, which we hope will help to give you some tools and strategies to manage your mental health as we approach year-end deadlines along with the second anniversary of the pandemic.
Once again, the holiday season is shaping up to be a smaller and quieter one than in years past. I encourage all of you to take this time to rest and recharge with your loved ones as the year comes to an end.
To you and yours, I wish a safe, healthy, peaceful and happy holiday season.
