We are pleased to announce two hybrid PD events coming to Ottawa and the virtual stage in February 2023, courtesy of the Joint Career Development Program. Registration is now open!
Juno award-winning singer-songwriter and mental health advocate Serena Ryder will join mental health practitioners and clinicians on the agenda as the Mental Health and Wellness Seminar returns for the third straight year.
As always, the seminar will focus on providing a mix of inspiring stories as well as tangible, actionable tips and strategies for both managing your mental health and supporting your colleagues.
A complete agenda and speaker bios will be available in the coming weeks, but you can register today to secure your seat for this important event, taking place from 10 am – 4 pm ET at the Shaw Centre and online: https://acfo-acaf.swoogo.com/ACFO-ACAF_JCDP_MHWS_15Feb23
This event likely does not qualify for CPA’s PD requirements and as such a certificate of attendance will not be provided.
Ethical dilemmas are part of the job for finance and audit professionals–this seminar will provide you with food for thought and new ways of looking at a handful of the challenging ethical issues you may face in your work.
Experts in ethical frameworks, whistleblowing, fraud, and workplace culture will offer their insights as well as give you new tools for upholding standards and leading ethical workplaces, all through the lens of examples and scenarios familiar to you as a public sector professional.
Note: While this workshop has been developed with the new CPA ethics requirement in mind, and all participants will receive a certificate of attendance, each provincial chapter has its own rules when it comes to recognizing PD. We encourage members to verify on a case-by-case basis that ACFO-ACAF courses and events meet their provincial requirements. A detailed agenda and speaker bios will be available in the coming weeks to facilitate that process.
In the meantime, you can register today! The event will take place from 10 am – 4 pm ET at the Shaw Centre and online: https://acfo-acaf.swoogo.com/ACFO-ACAF_JCDP_EthicsSeminar_16Feb23
In-person attendees for both events are invited to join us starting at 8:30 am for a light continental breakfast and networking session. Come meet your fellow accountants, auditors, and financial professionals over a hot cup of coffee as you prepare for an exciting day of professional development.
