ACFO-ACAF has scheduled the next session of our ongoing EDI Learning Series. This series of webinars provides ACFO-ACAF members with an opportunity to come together over the lunch hour and discuss topics related to equity, diversity, and inclusion. For this session, we have also added a free, in-person component with a complimentary lunch for any members at 90 Elgin wishing to further engage with the session.

In light of September 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, this next session will focus on heraldry in Northern Canada. The host and speaker of this session, Jonathan Eliuk (ᔮᓇᓴᓐ ᐃᓕᐅᒃ), is a poet, writer, and member of the Royal Heraldry Society of Canada, as well as a CT-FIN at Indigenous Services Canada. Through heraldry, he will share artwork, culture, and traditions of Indigenous groups and Northern Canadians.

Hosted in English, this session will take place on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm ET. It can be attended either:

  • Virtually on MS Teams
  • Via in-person viewing session for TBS members working at 90 Elgin in Ottawa on the second floor of TBS’s Headquarters, room 2023. A complimentary lunch will be served from 12:00 to 12:30 pm for those attending in person along with a facilitated discussion.

If you are interested in attending, please contact communications@acfo-acaf.com for the link to register.

For any questions about the session, please contact Helen Berry at hberry@acfo-acaf.com.

We look forward to this EDI Learning Series session and hope you find it informative.
